Western Ladders has been importing Oregon from Canada since 1996 with imports currently valued at approximately $450,000 each year.

In 2000, Western Ladders commenced exporting timber to Japan. Then in 2003 began supplying timber ladders to Tenaga, the Malaysian Government-owned power corporation and also Malaysia's second largest corporation.

These contracts were obtained against worldwide competition and won through superior product quality, and by adapting Australian products to meet local needs and conditions.

In 2003 Western Ladders was awarded the MBA National Export Award in the Building Materials and Product Manufacturers category.
